A Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon fan poster takes TWD to the Eiffel Tower, with Norman Reedus’ Daryl looking toward his next adventure overseas.
A new fan poster for The Walking Dead spinoff The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon takes the titular character all the way from the United States to France. The Walking Dead concluded after 177 episodes with its series finale this past fall. Although the flagship show has ended, the franchise currently has a few main characters slated to appear in three spinoffs. In addition to Daryl Dixon, AMC is planning The Walking Dead: Dead City and a series centered on Rick and Michonne. Audiences will next see Daryl in a very different situation, as the character’s solo adventure takes place in France.
Artist Bassel Galal took to Instagram to share a gorgeous fan poster for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon that has a special French landmark on the horizon. The Walking Dead‘s series finale sent Daryl on his path to France, which inspired Galal’s poster. The Eiffel Tower serves as the backdrop for the piece, adding an incredible eerie factor to the art. Everything We Know About The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon
The Walking Dead‘s series finale ended Daryl’s time on the show by having Maggie task him with one last mission: Discovering the wider situation within the zombie apocalypse. Daryl says goodbye to Carol as he rides out on his motorcycle for his final shot on the series. Daryl’s spinoff will show that France is different from the United States. During The Walking Dead season 1, the CDC’s Dr. Edwin Jenner told Rick’s group he had lost contact with the outside world and was unaware of other functioning research facilities. However, Jenner revealed that scientists in France were the last to hold out.
Another The Walking Dead spinoff, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, revealed that French scientists were likely behind the creation of the virus, and that might be a big part of why Daryl’s spinoff was chosen to take place there. If Daryl gets word of the French’s connection to the virus, he might be able to track down the facility that started it all and give survivors worldwide the first chance of finding a real cure to The Walking Dead‘s zombie virus in years. Daryl won’t be accompanied by his friends in this mission, although Carol was initially set to co-star in the spinoff before actor Melissa McBride left for unknown reasons. Instead, Daryl will be joined by progressive religious group member Isabelle and British underground nightclub owner Quinn, played by Clémence Poésy (The Essex Serpent) and Adam Nagaitis (Chernobyl), respectively.
Will Daryl And Rick Meet Again On The New The Walking Dead Show?
The Walking Dead universe has to see survivors-turned-brothers Rick Grimes and Daryl Dixon meet again. The series finale left Daryl aware that Rick was out there, something he didn’t initially know because Judith decided to keep it a secret from him. Judith’s The Walking Dead finale secret reveal finally let Daryl know the whole truth, with Reedus’ character easing Judith’s concerns that he’d leave to search for Rick and not come back, like Michonne had at the time. While Daryl’s spinoff takes the character to France and Rick’s spinoff looks to place him in the US, there’s room for the final episode of either show to reunite the characters, as they have to return home to their Walking Dead family.
