90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star Sheila’s partially deaf, and the reason why she lost her hearing as a child is heartbreaking. Omaha resident, David Dangerfield, was introduced in episode 1 of the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off. David, 42-year-old, started dating 31-year-old Sheila after meeting her on a Facebook group for deaf singles two years before they started filming their love story. David has been deaf since birth and has been cheated on in the past when he attempted to get into a relationship.
David and Sheila’s relationship isn’t perfect. They have arguments because Sheila can be jealous. She even suggested checking each other’s phones when they meet in person. David communicates using American Sign Language, and Sheila knows some of it. They are used to typing messages in English, and Sheila’s worried about how they are going to communicate in person, especially since they want to work on their problems.
90 Day Fiancé Star Sheila Became Deaf In Her Childhood
When 90 Day Fiancé: B90 couple David and Sheila video chat, it’s hard for her to understand him because she doesn’t know sign language. There are people around Sheila who are concerned about David being deaf, but she doesn’t care about these comments and ignores them, especially since Sheila also has impaired hearing. She wears a hearing aid in her right ear which is concealed by her long brown hair. When she was a little girl, Sheila was playing with a broomstick and inserted it inside her ear. This ruptured her eardrum. “Now I can hear clearly because I use my hearing aid, but in the future, I cannot hear anymore,” she admitted.
What To Know About Sheila’s Past Before Meeting David
Sheila lives in Cebu with her son Jhonreil and her elderly parents. Jhonreil is 12 years old and loves his mom dearly. Sheila met her son’s father when she was 16 or 17 years old. When she learned she was pregnant, she broke up with him. She felt his ex was “too young” and would have been unable to support her son. Sheila and her son don’t have a lot, but they do the best they can to survive with what they have. They don’t have running water, so they have to fill buckets using a water pump and carry it to her home.
Sheila says it’s difficult for them to stay in her small house, and there’s also a lot of damage due to a fire and typhoon. Their home doesn’t have a roof and has limited electricity and a makeshift toilet. Sheila’s concerned about David not liking her house, and her father has been asking Sheila to tell David they need money to fix it. Sheila used to sell cotton candy for a living before the pandemic, and David has been supporting her and her family with money which she’s thankful for. However, will it turn out that Sheila is taking advantage of David’s generosity on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the Days?
