Experts advising the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on vaccines recommended Thursday that children ages 5 to 11 receive the newly authorized Covid-19 booster shot from Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE.
In a 11-1 vote, with one abstention, the panel on Thursday recommended that the children should get the shots. The recommendation is meant to guide the nation’s doctors, schools and parents of the 28 million U.S. children in the age group.
