K-pop boyband SEVENTEEN‘s hip-hop unit have unveiled the music video for their new song ‘LALALI’.
In April, the K-pop boyband dropped their first compilation album ‘17 Is Right Here’ and its title track ‘Maestro’. The group’s hip-hop unit – formed by members S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu and Vernon – have now released a music video for album cute ‘LALALI’.
The visual opens with a cleaner entering a bedroom where the group slept, only to find that they have burst through the wall and left. They storm the streets, performing to the track in a Korean sauna, construction site and at a neighbourhood Baduk game.
“Can’t compete, I’m la-la-li / Like, like la-la-li, la-la-li / Can’t compete, I’m la-la-li / Like, like la-la-li, la-la-li / Can’t compete, I’m la-la-li,” they chant in the chorus.
In addition to ‘LALALI’ and lead track ‘Maestro’, the album includes new songs ‘Spell’ and ‘Cheers to Youth’ by the group’s performance and vocal units respectively. ‘17 Is Right Here’ also includes Korean versions of the act’s Japanese songs, as well as 20 of their hit singles.
In other K-pop news, NCT rapper Mark has shared an acoustic snippet of his upcoming solo single ‘200’, which will be released next week. SM Entertainment has also shared that the rapper is preparing to drop his debut solo album in February 2025.
Elsewhere, boyband Stray Kids have released a music video for their new single ‘Lose My Breath’ featuring American singer Charlie Puth. The song precedes the group’s upcoming Korean album, slated for release sometime this Summer.
