Days of Our Lives Spoilers For The Week of 9-29-25 Suggest Sophia Will Get Away With Her Awful Plan… Or Will She?

I’d love for Sophia’s awful plan to blow up in her face, but Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 9-29-25 suggest otherwise.

Her plan might work out even better than she hoped. Ugh.

However, one spoiler suggests that everything may not be as perfect for Sophia as Days of Our Lives would have us believe, so all hope isn’t lost.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers For The Week of 9-29-25 Suggest Sophia Will Get Away With Her Awful Plan… Or Will She?
(Peacock/Screenshot)

Sophia’s Manipulations Lead To Holly Starting a Fire in the Dorm

While Holly shouldn’t have been drinking in the first place, she wasn’t nearly as drunk until Sophia showed up in her room and poured alcohol into a cup without Holly’s knowledge.

Afterward, a nauseated and woozy Holly went to bed, and for some reason, both Sophia and Ari thought it was a good idea to light a candle right next to her.

  • I Hope I’m Wrong, But Law & Order: SVU Season 27 Episode 1 Is Giving Final Season Vibes
    by Jack Ori

All of this is typical college freshman idiocy, but Sophia’s behavior was similar to what rapists do when they want to incapacitate their victims, and in fact, she pulled Holly’s nightgown partially down and took intimate pictures without her consent.

It remains to be seen whether Days of Our Lives will actually call it what it is, unlike previous storylines where non-consensual photos were used to cause trouble in someone’s relationship.

For now, though, the fire helps Sophia’s cause.

Holly appears to be an irresponsible dorm resident who may have a drinking problem and is at risk of being expelled from the dorms, allowing Sophia to live in her room.

And of course, Maggie is going to give Holly tough love, according to Days of Our Lives spoilers, so she completely believes that Holly ruined her own life with alcohol.

Worse Yet, Sophia Is Set To Ruin Chanel and Johnny’s Adoption Plans

Frustratingly, Chanel and Johnny are blindsided, and Chanel is devastated.

Hey TV-obsessed people!
We love TV too. That’s why we write about it every chance we get.
And now, we have a newsletter full of passionate conversations about TV. Hit subscribe in the upper right hand corner so you never miss a story.

This most likely means that they’re not getting the baby, which may be due to Sophia writing that ridiculous letter to Child Protective Services.

However, Sophia’s evil plans go far beyond that.

Johnny and Chanel kiss on Days of Our Lives during the week of 7-07-25
(Screenshot/Peacock)

Sophia has the ridiculous idea that Johnny “ruined” her life by backing out of the adoption the first time, and she’s out for revenge.

Taking those photos of Holly was only the first step.

    by Sam Huang

    by Carissa Pavlica

She probably wants to make it look like Johnny and Holly are having an affair.

She knows about his almost-cheating with Joy Wesley and how that almost ruined him and Chanel, plus if Johnny were to have an affair with a student, it would get him fired, or worse.

And as an added bonus, Chanel was manipulated into sex by a professor and accused of murder when his wife ran at her on a rooftop, and she pushed her away.

So Sophia’s plan is most likely to somehow manipulate those photos to make it look like Holly and Johnny slept together while Holly was drunk, to get Johnny into trouble in every area of his life.

(Screenshot/Peacock)

This Plot Is So Disgusting, Especially If It’s Not Treated As Seriously As It Should Be

Even before all this, Sophia was exhibiting disturbing levels of stalking behavior.

The woman got a job at the Brady Pub just to be around Tate when she learned he was working there. Gross.

But now, Holly’s body is a pawn in her plan to ruin Johnny’s life.

And, if that wasn’t bad enough, if this plan is what I think it is, Sophia is manufacturing evidence of sexual misconduct, which hurts people who are being sexually harassed and coerced by professors (like Chanel was, even though Days of Our Lives never admitted it).

Rafe gives a DNA test to the baby on Days of Our Lives during the week of 9-08-25
(Peacock/Screenshot)

Is Sophia Going To Mess With the DNA Test?

One of the rules in Salem is that DNA tests are rarely accurate on the first try, and it’s likely results will be in this week.

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 9-29-25 say that Kayla has surprising news for Brady.

It’s probably about the DNA test, and many viewers are expecting proof that Tate is not the father of the baby.

That would be a ridiculous twist at this point, considering how hard Sophia has worked to make sure Tate doesn’t know his baby is in Salem in case he wants to keep it.

Besides, if the surprising news is that Tate is not a match, it’s more likely that Sophia or Melinda did something to interfere with the test and prolong this storyline.

It’s also entirely possible that the news is that the baby is a match to Tate or that it’s about something else.

Tate is worried about Holly on Days of Our Lives during the week of 9-29-25
(Peacock/Screenshot)

Brady is Rachel’s father, after all, and there is a secret floating around about her, too.

Additionally, EJ opening the Tom Horton Free Clinic would certainly be surprising, and Brady would be concerned if EJ managed to worm his way into Belle’s life again.

So this spoiler might be a red herring and have nothing to do with the baby story at all.

Now For The Good News: Sophia Is Going To Panic

Interestingly, Sophia’s panic comes at the same time that Chanel gets devastating news… but why?

Sophia nervously lies to Tate on the phone on Days of Our Lives during the week of 7-21-25
(Screenshot/Peacock)

Sophia’s anxiety tends to center around being found out, but if she succeeds in ruining the adoption, what is there to panic about?

Could she find out about the DNA test in the works and realize the jig is up?

I hope so. I’ve had enough of her to last a lifetime, and her evil plans give me a headache.

Melinda needs to be caught, too. This is the second time she’s gotten involved in shady baby stuff, and she needs to face some consequences already.

A Few Other Big Stories on Days of Our Lives During The Week of 9-29-25

There’s plenty of non-Sophia stuff going on:

  • Xander and Sarah continue to get closer, but with another secret hanging over their head, how long can this last?
  • While stuck in the elevator with Belle, EJ reveals his feelings to her. Hopefully, she’s learned her lesson and isn’t going to get sucked back into his nonsense any time soon.
  • Jeremy Horton returns to town. Julie is thrilled to see him. Stephanie, not so much, and with good reason, since he abused her before.
Cat and Chad take the next step in their relationship on Days of Our Lives during the week of 9-29-25
(Peacock/Screenshot)
  • Cat and Chad also continue to get closer just as Jennifer prepares to return to Salem.
  • Also, for some reason, Rachel has news about Thomas that worries Chad.
