Former Real Housewives of New York City star Elyse Slaine reveals to fans that her four-year marriage to Reinhold Gerbert has come to an end.
Elyse Slaine recently informed her The Real Housewives of New York City followers that she and her husband, Dr. Reinhold Gerbert, split after only four years of marriage. Elyse was a friend of the housewives and brought her own drama to the centerfold. Now she is back in the news for her dissolution of marriage.
Fans were introduced to Elyse through Ramona Singer, who, in the end, tried to disown her as a friend. RHONY viewers were not surprised that Elyse wanted nothing to do with the rest of the New York ladies and would not be participating in the reunion to air her grievances with the Singer Stinger. There were rumors that Ramona was not pleased with her sidekick’s treachery and had banned her from the tell-all. Even though Elyse’s time was short-lived on the show, fans were hoping to see her hold an apple, but unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be.
According to Page Six, Elyse revealed that she filed for divorce from her husband, Reinhold. Elyse shared that she and Reinhold will always care deeply for one another, but they will be going through an amicable divorce. According to Elyse, the two will continue to remain close friends. For Bravo fans who did not know, Reinhold was a German-born executive who earned most of his money working in tech. Elyse and Reinhold tied the knot back in 2018. The last time the couple was seen together was in July 2020 as they celebrated their second wedding anniversary.
Elyse is set to do fine on her own as a single woman as she is currently working as a crypto trader and has always landed on her feet. The last time that Real Housewives of New York City fans saw of Elyse was when she was spilling details with Leah McSweeney about Ramona. At the time, the two friends were gushing about how Ramona was struggling to find a man who would date her. Their video confessional solidified the end of the friendship between Ramona and Elyse.
The Real Housewives of New York City is currently on hiatus, with no return date as of now. Bravo shared that there will be two new versions of the series set to come out in the near future. The reboot will include all-new women, while the second reboot will showcase the ex-housewives’ lives. Even OG Bethenny Frankel was asked to return, but most of the information is still up in the air. Elyse will likely not be asked back, even amid her marriage drama.
