Southern Charm’s Austen Kroll responds to being compared to a Honda Civic. Fans loved Summer House star Alex Wach’s shady dig at the player.
Austen Kroll from Southern Charm recently responded to Summer House‘s Alex Wach’s comment comparing him to a Honda Civic, and he recently responded to the dig. Although Austen is from Bravo’s Southern Charm, he has been a source of drama for Summer House stars Lindsay Hubbard and Ciara Miller. He first met Ciara in the Summer House spinoff, Winter House, and they formed a connection. Although they tried to take their romance beyond the show, they were on separate pages and broke up.
Austen was a longtime friend of Lindsay’s and much to the Winter House cast’s surprise, she revealed that they had hooked up in the past. She was hoping to start a deeper relationship with him but he had his eyes on Ciara. In Summer House season 6, he visited Lindsay in the Hamptons house for her birthday. Austen flirted with both Lindsay and Ciara, causing the two women to compete for his attention. Ciara had deeper feelings for Austen and was visibly hurt, which caused her to lash out at Summer House star Danielle Olivera and throw a wine glass at her.
During the Summer House season 6 reunion, Alex said he didn’t understand why Lindsay and Ciara were fighting over the “Honda Civic of male attractiveness.” The sick burn had the Summer House cast members laughing and fans wished they had seen more of Alex’s humor throughout season 6. Bravo’s The Daily Dish asked Austen what he had to say to the comment and he responded, “My first reaction was, like, what’s wrong with Honda Civics? I’ve had plenty of great times in a Honda Civic.” Lindsay was impressed with her Summer House co-star and shared, “I mean, Alex with the zingers! I’ve always known Alex to be a funny guy, but he really brought it at the reunion.”
Alex and Ciara flirted with the idea of hooking up and shared a few kisses during Summer House season 6. However, her feelings for Austen overrode any chances Alex might have had with her. The Summer House stars, along with host Andy Cohen, were surprised to hear during the season 6 reunion that Ciara had hooked up with Austen again while he was in the Hamptons. Many Summer House fans shared Alex’s feelings about Austen and wondered why two strong, beautiful women were battling over a man-child who didn’t want to settle down with either of them.
Much to Summer House fans’ confusion, Alex was cut out of many episodes mid-season. Many viewers thought he had gotten axed but he re-appeared for the last few episodes of season 6. Fans were happy that he brought it during the reunion and was able to show more of his personality. Hopefully, Alex will make an appearance in Summer House season 7 and show off his sense of humor.
