Taylor Swift brought out Sabrina Carpenter as a surprise guest during the second night of her “Eras Tour” shows at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Saturday night. The duo performed an acoustic mashup of “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” from Carpenter’s breakout album, Short n’ Sweet, along with their collaborative track “Is It Over Now?”
Swift initially teased Carpenter’s appearance by calling her on a phone from the stage. “We all love you so much,” Swift told Carpenter. “Why aren’t you here with us?”
Swift asked Carpenter if she could “come down to the stadium real quick?” adding, “ball park how long would that take you?” Carpenter replied that it “would probably take me like five seconds,” with the singer then taking the stage in a white dress.
After previously opening for Swift’s “The Eras Tour” last year, Carpenter is amidst her own headlining tour, with the North American leg running through the middle of November (get tickets here).
Meanwhile, after playing one final show in New Orleans on Sunday night, Swift will bring “The Eras Tour” to Indianapolis, Toronto, and Vancouver. Look for deals on last-minute tickets here.
